
Indonesia Competes in The 15th International Mathematical Science Creativity Competition in Korea
The International Mathematical Science Creativity Competition is a competition held every year in Korea, and this year is the 15th competition. This competition was participated by some countries like Hongkong, Sweden, etc.
Indonesia teams preparation starts from August 2021. Every weekend the contestants attend the preparation program held online by STEM Education Center UPI until the IMSCC main competition. Indonesia team competes in 3 sections of the competition, Creativity 2 for Grades 1 to 3 about moveable structure powered by nature energy, Mechatronics 2 for middle-high school about functional robot for cargo transportation, and Mechatronics 3 for high school with the same subject with Mechatronics 2.
In the previous two years, the Indonesia team has participated on-site in South Korea. But because of the pandemic, the competition is held online. The main competition takes place on 23 October at 16.00-19.00 KST or 14.00-17.00 WIB. At this competition, Indonesia Teams won some of the awards. They are:
- Mechatronics 3 Gold Award
MH-13 Team: Riska Delvia Sari - Mechatronics 3 Silver Award
MH-12 Team: Sabrina Oktavia Yusuf - Mechatronics 2 Encouragement Award
MM-31 Team: Iusthin Arsenio Dwindra - Creativity 2 Encouragement Award
CL-32 Team: Arkan Al Fatih Muttaqin
